There are many ways to make chocolate, but what makes you fall in love of a taste is the

magic that combines the craftsmanship, the recipe and the best quality ingredients.

That is how a taste becomes a myth.

Since 1860, Pernigotti has its own unmistakable secret that makes of his own Gianduia,
today as in the past, a symphony of beauty and goodness.

A taste becomes a myth

Pernigotti’s history has long roots.

Everything started in 1860 when Stefano Pernigotti opened a grocery store in the center of Novi Ligure, loved for his sweets.

Within a few years, the company became renowned for its delicious nougat.

Even during the First World War, when the use of sugar for the preparation of confectionery products was banned, Paolo Pernigotti, son of the founder, with extraordinary intuition, modified the recipe of the nougat: he replaced sugar with a higher concentration of honey, obtaining a unique product for flavor and texture.

In 1927, the company began to produce Gianduiotto, the chocolate that would become one of the most appreciated symbols of the Piedmontese chocolate tradition in Italy and worldwide.

In the following years, Pernigotti consolidated its identity by managing a wide range of products and establishing itself as a lovemark in the market of the most iconic Italian chocolates: Gianduiotto, Cremino and Nocciolato.

Pernigotti’s history takes a different direction when Stefano Pernigotti, having lost both heirs in a serious accident, sells the company first to another family of entrepreneurs, the Averna, and then to the Toksoz.

In 2022, the Toksoz Group sold the entire stock of Pernigotti to JPMorgan, an asset management that controls - among the various realities - also the historic Walcor of Cremona, which makes hollow figures and coins.

In July 2023, Invitalia entered the share capital of Pernigotti as a minority shareholder with a 25% stake in the entire shareholding.
With the entry of Invitalia, already a minority shareholder in Walcor s.p.a., the shares of Lynstone SSF IIE S.à r.l. and Invitalia have been aligned in Pernigotti s.p.a. and Walcor s.p.a.. The objective of the two shareholders is to create commercial synergies between the two companies that will cooperate with the intent to start an Italian center of excellence in chocolate and then to develop and spread the two precious historical brands.
